Terms of Use

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These Terms of Use describe the permitted use of finorum.com, including its articles, country guides, calculators and comparison tools.

The website is operated by Nevius d.o.o., Van je Radauša 4, Požega, Croatia, OIB: 90757128816, under the name Finorum.

Please read these Terms before using the website.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to your use of Finorum’s website, content and tools.

Any separate agreement for a specific service will apply alongside these Terms. If there is a conflict, the specific agreement takes precedence for that service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. Acceptance of these Terms does not constitute consent to optional cookies, analytics or newsletter subscriptions.

Nothing in these Terms overrides rights or protections provided by mandatory applicable law.

2. Purpose of Finorum

Finorum provides financial education and information about investing, taxation, income, purchasing power and the cost of living.

We publish in all 24 official EU languages and cover the 27 European Union countries through articles, country guides and practical tools.

The availability and depth of content may vary between countries and language editions.

3. No Personalised Advice

Finorum’s content is intended for general educational and informational purposes. It does not constitute personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

An article, comparison, ranking or calculator result does not by itself establish that a product or course of action is suitable for you.

Relevant outcomes depend on your circumstances, including your location, tax residence, income, objectives and tolerance for risk.

Before making a decision, verify the relevant information and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

Investments involve risk, including the possible loss of capital. Finorum does not guarantee returns or financial outcomes.

4. Calculators, Maps and Comparison Tools

Our tools provide estimates and comparisons based on specified data, methods and assumptions.

Results may differ from actual payroll calculations, tax assessments, provider charges or household expenses. National averages and indicative benchmarks may not represent your circumstances or a particular location.

Read the assumptions, data dates and limitations provided with each tool. Outputs are not official assessments, binding quotations or guarantees.

You are responsible for checking the information you enter and assessing whether the tool’s assumptions are relevant to your situation.

5. Accuracy and Updates

We aim to publish accurate, clearly explained information supported by relevant sources. However, legislation, provider terms, market conditions and statistical data can change.

Content may contain errors or omissions or become outdated. Publication and review dates should be considered alongside the sources and explanations provided.

We may correct, update or remove content when necessary.

To report an error, contact contact@finorum.com with a link to the relevant page.

6. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Finorum uses artificial intelligence as a supporting tool in research and writing, including exploring topics, organising information and developing drafts.

AI supports our work; editorial judgement and responsibility remain with us. AI-generated suggestions are not treated as evidence, and content requires review before publication.

We remain responsible for the final content we publish.

7. Editorial Independence and Commercial Relationships

Finorum is committed to objective, evidence-based analysis.

The website may contain advertising, sponsored content and affiliate links. Relevant commercial relationships are clearly disclosed.

Finorum may receive compensation when a reader follows an affiliate link and completes a qualifying action.

Sponsorships and affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings, assessments, recommendations or editorial conclusions. Payment or the potential to earn a commission does not secure favourable coverage or a higher ranking.

Comparisons should be read alongside their criteria, scope and limitations.

8. Intellectual Property and Permitted Use

Content on Finorum may be protected by copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights held by Nevius d.o.o., contributors or third-party rights holders.

You may access and read publicly available content for personal, non-commercial use.

We welcome short quotations with clear attribution and a link to the original page. Quotations must preserve the original meaning and must not imply endorsement.

Except where permitted by applicable law or an expressly stated licence, reproducing, republishing, distributing or commercially exploiting protected content requires permission from the relevant rights holder.

Third-party materials remain subject to their respective licences and rights.

For permission or licensing requests, contact contact@finorum.com.

9. Responsible Use

When using Finorum, you must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data.
  • Introduce malicious software or interfere with website security.
  • Deliberately overload or disrupt the website or its tools.
  • Infringe intellectual property or other legal rights.
  • Misrepresent Finorum’s content or imply an endorsement that has not been given.

We may take proportionate measures to protect the website against misuse, including restricting access where reasonably necessary.

10. External Websites and Services

Finorum includes links to third-party websites, institutions and service providers.

External websites are operated independently. Their content, availability, fees, terms and privacy practices may change and are outside our control.

A link does not by itself constitute an endorsement or guarantee. Any agreement you enter into with an external provider is between you and that provider.

Review the provider’s current terms and documentation before using its services.

11. Website Availability

We aim to keep Finorum accessible, but uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.

Access may be interrupted by maintenance, updates, technical faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Features may be changed or discontinued.

Any changes remain subject to applicable law and any separate commitments we have made to you.

12. Liability

Finorum’s content and tools are general informational resources. They cannot account for every individual situation or replace professional advice.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for losses arising from use of the website is limited. This does not exclude or limit liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms restricts mandatory consumer rights or other statutory protections.

13. Privacy and Newsletter

Personal data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

Newsletter subscriptions are voluntary and managed separately from these Terms. You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails or by contacting us.

Optional cookies and analytics requiring consent are controlled through the website’s cookie settings.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the website, services or applicable requirements.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law, and additional agreement will be requested where necessary.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or affect claims that have already arisen.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia, subject to applicable EU law.

Where mandatory consumer protections of your country of habitual residence apply, these Terms do not deprive you of those protections.

Jurisdiction is determined by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer’s right to bring proceedings before a court available to them under mandatory jurisdiction rules.

If you have a concern, you may contact us so we can attempt to resolve it. Contacting us is not a condition for exercising your legal rights.
